Rancho Campo
Valle de Uco / Uco Valley, Argentina
A lightly sweet release from steadfast Rancho Campo
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Rancho Campo
Bonarda
Rancho Campo continues to highlight the mountainous splendor of Mendoza with our 2023 Bonarda. This wine takes you off the beaten path with a lightly sweet take on this distinctly Argentine grape. Chocolatey notes and rich fruit flavors make this wine stand out and a guaranteed palate pleaser. Globally, Bonarda is considered a lesser-known wine; however, it is the most widely planted grape variety in Argentina, after Malbec. While many red and white grapes battle the odds on the weather-beaten mountainsides of Mendoza, Bonarda takes its time, ripening slowly under intense sunlight throughout a long, dry growing season. This creates concentrated flavors while shaping sultry, savor-worthy textures. We invite you to experience a local gem from the rural heartlands of Argentina with a wine that proves that the hardest struggles lead to the sweetest rewards. Scroll through the image car ...

WINE REGION:
Valle de Uco / Uco Valley
Don't let the term "valley" fool you. Perched over 3,000 feet above sea level in the shadow of the Andes, the Uco Valley is home to Mendoza's highest vineyards. At this lofty altitude, the cold nights help retain the acidity and delicate aromas in the grapes as they ripen. The result? Blissfuly flavorful wines with plenty of backbone and a characteristic floral twist. Malbec is particularly exceptional, with subtle iris notes joining typical flavors of mocha, sugarplum and blackberry. The Uco Valley region is also known for its fantastic whites, usually made from Chardonnay and Torrontés.
