Vibrant fruit flavors from sunny shores
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Quartz Bay
Sauvignon Blanc
Our 2023 vintage of Quartz Bay has everything you love about a classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc with lively aromas, refreshing acidity and loads of tropical fruit flavor. The small region of Nelson, New Zealand, is perfectly set up for winegrowing. On the shores of Tasman Bay, vineyards enjoy a sunny climate with weather heavily influenced by the sea. Tall mountains surround the region, protecting it from strong winds and extreme storms, ideal conditions for wine grapes to flourish. Sun-filled days boost ripe fruit flavors while cool ocean breezes preserve Sauvignon Blanc's natural acidity and signature aromas. Our local winemaking partners have been producing wine here since 1973 and remain a family business, passing down their local secrets from generation to generation. WINE REGION:
New Zealand
New Zealand is one of the most isolated countries on Earth, and the small country surprised everyone when its crisp, focused wines began impressing critics in the 1990s. New Zealand first made its impact on the wine world with Sauvignon Blanc from the picturesque Marlborough region. Zingy, floral and herbaceous, these mouthwatering Sauvignon Blancs thrilled wine lovers. Pinot Noir is another success story here, becoming blissfully elegant with beautiful cherry aromas in regions like Central Otago and Wairarapa. While Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir star in New Zealand, stunning whites like Riesling, Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, and complex reds such as Syrah and Merlot, also find a welcome home in this beautiful and rugged land.
