ABOUT THIS WINE:
Once Upon A Vine
Sauvignon Blanc
A little California sunshine, a dash of cool coastal breezes, mixed with a variety of soils - and voila – the average wine grape becomes an extraordinary one. From vineyards throughout the state, the winemakers selected grapes that showed rich, tropical fruit-driven styles. The North Coast provided ripe pineapple flavors, the Central Coast the citrus and passion fruit and the Central Valley the guava and stone fruit. Harvested at the peak of maturity the Lost Slipper Sauvignon Blanc radiates lively passionfruit aromas, that give way to ripe guava and pineapple flavors. Friendly, inviting and delicious, it was love at first sip for our experts.

California
California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.
