Tuscany / Toscana
Italy's rich food and wine heritage is nowhere better demonstrated than historic Tuscany. You can eat and drink like a king here—ideally on a grand terrazza overlooking medieval hillsides strewn with olive and cypress trees. From mouthwatering whites for sipping with antipasti, to sophisticated reds that elevate the meat dishes of Florence (and of course leaving room for sweet Vin Santo with dessert), Tuscany has it all. Sangiovese is the region's star grape, giving us not just Chianti, but also Brunello di Montalcino, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and the epic Super Tuscan blends.
