Louis M. Martini
Napa Valley, California
A delicious Cabernet from one of Napa's oldest wineries
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Louis M. Martini
Cabernet Sauvignon
A delicious Cabernet with a sense of history. This 2017 Cab was fueled by a steady growing season and early harvest to preserve the ripe, fruit-driven intensity in the grapes. The resulting wine is lean with a light and elegant mouthfeel. Aged for 16 months, the Cabernet was rounded out with 10% Petite Sirah to help fortify the backbone of the wine. The 2017 Martini Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ended up as a densely layered wine showcasing plush notes of cherry cobbler and wild blackberries backed by hints of cedar and fresh herbs. Full-bodied and elegant, this Cabernet has a polished mouthfeel and an exceptionally long finish.

Napa Valley
Napa gained international acclaim following the Judgement of Paris in 1976, when its wines defeated its French counterparts in a blind tasting. Napa's signature wines are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and various Bordeaux blends, but many other varieties, such as Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc also thrive here. With 16 sub-AVAs and a Mediterranean climate with rich geology, Napa is a winemaker's dream. The winegrowing region runs between the Mayacamas Mountains and Vaca Mountains for 30 miles, from Calistoga to Los Carneros. Napa has a wide array of soil types for such a small region, from volcanic foothills to alluvial valley floors, which help to produce varied and complex wines.
