Jacks & Swan Cellars
Monterey County, California
Bright citrus notes shine in our 94 point, Platinum Medal-winning Sauvignon Blanc from Monterey County
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Jacks & Swan Cellars
Sauvignon Blanc
Just over two hours south of San Francisco, Monterey County is a picture-perfect dream of a winegrowing appellation. The region stretches along the Salinas Valley, which traverses the state north to south. The gorgeous rolling hills and valley floors experience a wide range of unique terroirs. The sunny days are mitigated by ocean breezes from the Monterey Bay. The maritime influences add salinity to the palate, which marries beautifully with bright citrus notes. Sauvignon Blanc loves the environment, and our Jacks & Swan Cellars 2019 vintage is a stunning version of the fan-favorite wine. An incredible sipper that will transport you to the beautiful California coastline, taking in Big Sur, Pebble Beach, and the region that inspired some of John Steinbeck's greatest novels. WINE REGION:
Monterey County
Not to be confused with Monterey AVA, Monterey County is a larger designation that also includes the Carmel and San Antonio valleys, among others. Encompassing three distinct zones at the northern end of the Central Coast, Monterey County produces vast amounts of high-quality Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling and Pinot Gris. For reds, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon have often been replaced by Pinot Noir, Syrah and Grenache in recent years. These cooler-climate grapes achieve greatness through the influence of Monterey Bay, which pushes cold fogs and chilly afternoon winds down the Salinas Valley, tempering the sun's heat and allowing a long, moderate ripening season.

TASTING NOTES:
Grapefruit
Wet Stone
Lemon
Beautiful citrus flavors of bright lemon and sweet grapefruit join a lively acidity. While subtle, a hint of salinity and wet stone also present themselves. Enjoy with hors d’oeuvres, lean meats, and seafood — or on its own!
