Enjoy one of the most delicious and lovingly crafted Pinot Noirs from the windswept Sonoma Coast
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Flowers
Pinot Noir
Flowers has a long history as innovators of sustainable farming and introduces a variety of grapes to the windswept Sonoma Coast. Today they still make delicious wines by hand, sustainably. Every Flowers Pinot Noir is made to express the land where it was farmed. Their coastal proximity and high-elevation vineyards gives the wine its distinct minerality and fresh acidity. Farmed sustainably, fermented with native yeast, and crafted with minimal intervention in the cellar, Flowers Pinot Noir is a pure expression of the rugged and extreme Sonoma Coast. This means that it has bright red fruit and savory spices that play off the palate. A distinct mineral stoniness and sea salt bring further complexity and set it up for a long and lively finish.

Sonoma County
Many of California's world-class wines come from Sonoma County, separated from Napa by the Mayacamas Mountains. Three times the size of Napa, Sonoma is an incredibly diverse region. Cool coastal zones, fog-cloaked hillsides, sheltered valleys and craggy exposed peaks give Sonoma a vast array of terroirs and microclimates. Its many sub-regions produce a broad range of styles: from the bold Cabernets of Alexander Valley to the fragrant Pinots of Sonoma Coast and the sublime Chardonnays of Chalk Hill.

ABOUT THE BRAND:
Flowers
The Flowers story begins in the early 1980s with Joan and Walt Flowers, a nursery owner in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. On their biannual trips to California to buy seeds and learn about west-coast plants, they would always carve out time to pursue their budding interest in wine. Before long, their passion grew into a dream of owning a vineyard and using their immense agricultural and farming knowledge to produce exceptional wine. Over 30 years ago, Flowers Vineyards & Winery pioneered the growing of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on the rugged coastal ridges of the extreme Sonoma Coast. Joan and Walt Flowers had a simple goal — make exceptional wine that captures the wild beauty of the land and the spirit of the Sonoma Coast. This passion drives everything that Flowers still does — farming responsibly, harvesting by hand, using 100% native fermentation, and crafting wine with minimal intervention. Their unwavering commitment to creating distinctive wines that capture the Sonoma Coast's spirit has been the bedrock of their success.
