Butler & Thief
Central Coast, California
Steal a sip of this hand-selected Pinot Noir from California’s Central Coast
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Butler & Thief
Pinot Noir
Complexity in wine can come from the weather, the vineyards, the winemaker, or pure luck. The most exquisite are a combination of the four. The Butler & Thief Pinot Noir is a blend of select Pinot Noir parcels from up and down the Central Coast. Each vineyard tells a different story, with high elevation vineyards providing fruit that has rich acidity and the grapes from the valley floor bringing ripe red-fruit flavors. The blend is spectacular and has notes of strawberry compote, raspberry, and rhubarb pie that play off of herbs, cedar, and graphite. It’s an amazing wine that teases out its flavors slowly, unfurling new notes with every sip.

WINE REGION:
Central Coast
California's Central Coast might be a bit quieter than Napa or Sonoma to the north, but this lesser-known region produces many world-class wines. Enjoying incredible terroir along its vast 280-mile stretch—from San Francisco Bay to Santa Barbara—Central Coast wines are increasingly in demand. Its position between the Pacific Coast Ranges and the Southern Coast Ranges is key to its quality, with many cool-climate AVAs offering elegant Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah and Merlot. In the hotter parts of the Central Coast, away from the coastal fogs and cold mountain slopes, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre are exceptional.
