ABOUT THIS WINE:

25 Degrees

25 Degrees

Cabernet Sauvignon

25 Degrees invites you to take your evening glass of wine to the next level. Explore the diverse and dramatic Chilean countryside with our Maule Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. This intensely juicy wine displays refreshing herbaceous aromas followed by plump, dark fruit flavors. These hardy grapes thrive in Chile’s mountainous landscape, with the rigid coastline of the South Pacific Ocean to the west and the towering peaks of the Andes on the east. At these high elevations, the bright rays of the Chilean sun intensify, allowing grapes to reach rich and fruity ripeness during the day. As night falls, temperatures drop, protecting the grapes’ refreshing acidity levels. While Chilean Cabernet typically leans more savory and rustic, our 2020 vintage is a fruit-forward and approachable exception, making it the perfect cork to pop after a long day. WINE REGION:

Outline of Maule Valley

Maule Valley

When it comes to well-balanced reds of great value, Chile's Maule Valley is hard to beat. The southernmost part of Chile's Central Valley, Maule is a large sub-region with many microclimates and soil types. The Maule River and the nearby Pacific Ocean both greatly influence its climate. Maule was one of the first places in Chile planted with grapevines. It is famed today for its 100-year-old Carignan vines and the densely sumptuous wines they produce. More typical, however, are its powerful Cabernet Sauvignon, spicy aromatic Carménère and plush Merlot reds. For whites, check out Maule's cheery Sauvignon Blanc and rounded Chardonnay. Chile’s Denominación de Origen (DO) classification system focuses on separating wines by the physical location of origin. To use the DO classification on a label, a producer must have pulled 85 percent of the fruit used in a wine from a defined regional location. The DO system names wine regions in the country from north to south.

ABOUT THE BRAND:

large bunches of red grapes on the vine

25 Degrees

While most of the world's winemaking regions fall between 30 to 50 degrees latitude, Chile has a unique advantage that allows it to be an exception to this rule. The northern tip of this slender country sits at the 25th parallel, where growing conditions would usually be too hot. However, altitudes in Chile's dramatic landscape range from sea level to the 22,608-foot summit of Ojos Del Salado, the world's highest active volcano. These heights keep vineyards cool while allowing them to benefit from the bright Chilean sun. 25 Degrees takes pride in being the anomaly with intensely flavorful wines that are as captivating and unique as the land they hail from.
