ABOUT THIS WINE:
Titiritero
Bonarda–Syrah–Malbec
Titiritero, which directly translates into “puppeteer,” is a beautiful metaphor for the role of a winemaker. By featuring a thoughtful triad of Argentina’s signature grape varieties for our 2021 vintage, the winemakers have composed a flavorful blend displaying dense dark fruit flavors and alluring hints of oak and spice. Our wine’s fruit-forward mid-palate is evidence of its headlining grape, Bonarda. This lesser-known grape is usually found waiting off stage as its popular vineyard partner Malbec steals the show. However, as 60 percent of this blend, this gifted understudy has been given a chance to shine. Another unlikely star in South America, Syrah—which comprises 24 percent of the blend—creates the notable peppery aromatics of this wine and the deep color you see in your glass. Lastly, Argentinian superstar Malbec makes up the final 16 percent, adding more fruit and juicy textur ...

WINE REGION:
Mendoza
Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.

TASTING NOTES:
Blueberry
Licorice
Blackberry
Aromas of black licorice and grilling spices enchant the nose, leading to a fruit-forward palate where blackberry and blueberry notes mingle amid subtle acidity and soft tannins. Hints of baker’s chocolate offer touches of brief sweetness before savory notes resurface.
