Marbleize
California
The art of blending is on display in this delicate, gold medal "Best of Class" California Red
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Marbleize
Red Wine
Every great wine consists of many disparate elements held together by a wish and a prayer. There is a delicate nature that belies the raw power of the wine. The Marbleize Red is a blend of a few grapes: Tempranillo, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Barbera, and Mourvèdre that all bring something different to the wine and result in balance. These grapes were able to mature for four years before the winemaker felt they were ready to be bottled. Medium bodied with low alcohol, this is an elegant blend. With flavors of red fruit, floral, spice, and tobacco balanced by old oak perfectly integrated, this velvety but structured wine is perfect for pairing with lighter foods. Judges love it too! It took home a Gold medal the 2018 Harvest Challenge and was named "Best of Class."

WINE REGION:
California
California is one of the most diverse winegrowing regions in the world. Spanning 850 miles along North America's west coast—and inland across mountains and valleys—California's American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) cover a dizzying array of terroir. The cold, deep waters of the Pacific Ocean play a major role in cooling California's vineyards, sending fog and chilly air up to 100 miles inland. This tempers the daytime heat and allows grapes to ripen slowly but fully. Cooler-climate grape varieties thrive closest to the sea, while further inland, bigger, bolder wines prevail.
