ABOUT THIS WINE:
Luna Benegas
Cabernet Sauvignon
The Benegas family has been making fine Argentine wine for four generations, with their Finca Libertad vineyard contributing some of the strongest harvests in their storied reputation. The first Cabernet Sauvignon vines were planted on the estate in early 20th century, and they have been lovingly cultivated ever since. A winemaker’s Eden, Finca Libertad is located high above sea level on the banks of the picturesque Mendoza river. With warm days and cool, wind-swept nights, it has some of the most ideal conditions for growing Cabernet Sauvignon in the Southern Hemisphere.
Aged first for six months in French oak barrels, then for another six in bottles, the Luna Benegas Cabernet Sauvignon is a triumph of patience—a true testament to the winemaker’s art. An intensely aromatic wine, the nose is filled with a deep bouquet of black fruits and cherries, complemented by notes o ...

WINE REGION:
Mendoza
Mendoza is the heart of Argentinian wine production. It was here where a previously little-known French grape variety called Malbec became a global superstar. With its extreme altitudes and Andean climate, Mendoza nurtures its vineyards in dramatic sun-drenched plateaus set against snow-capped peaks. At these elevations, the intense UV light ripens grapes in a unique way, working with the cold mountain air to create gloriously supple and expressive wines with bold yet brightly aromatic fruit. Mendoza's high-quality varietals from Bonarda, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes are also notable, as are its fine Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir from sub-regions such as Maipú, Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley.
