The current vintage from the acclaimed "Paris Tasting" best white wine of the world
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Grgich Hills Estate
Chardonnay
Chardonnay grapes from the southern AVAs of Napa Valley benefit from the cooler maritime air coming in from nearby San Pablo Bay. This cooler air helps balance the heat and full sunshine during the growing season and allows the grapes to ripen slowly. Slow ripening allows the Chardonnay grape to develop intricate flavors while maintaining bright, fresh acidity. Certified organic and sustainably farmed without the use of pesticides or herbicides.
NOTE: This is NOT a Firstleaf Exclusive Wine and is not eligible for discounts, member pricing, or member guarantee. Limited Availability.
Due to state registrations, we cannot ship this wine to AL, AZ, CO, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, ME, MI, MO, MS, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, SD, TX, UT, VT, WA.ABOUT THIS WINE

Napa Valley
Napa gained international acclaim following the Judgement of Paris in 1976, when its wines defeated its French counterparts in a blind tasting. Napa's signature wines are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and various Bordeaux blends, but many other varieties, such as Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc also thrive here. With 16 sub-AVAs and a Mediterranean climate with rich geology, Napa is a winemaker's dream. The winegrowing region runs between the Mayacamas Mountains and Vaca Mountains for 30 miles, from Calistoga to Los Carneros. Napa has a wide array of soil types for such a small region, from volcanic foothills to alluvial valley floors, which help to produce varied and complex wines.

ABOUT THE BRAND:
Grgich Hills Estate
Miljenko "Mike" Grgich was the man behind the world-shattering Paris Tasting in which his California wine upstaged the very best that France had to offer. This was a monumental moment that established "New World" winemakers as true contenders for the world's best. Mike, along with his sister Mary Lee Strebl and partner Austin Hill, established Grgich Hills Estate on Independence Day 1977, has since gone organic in 2000, and continues to be actively involved in this family-run winery.
