Ferrari-Carano
Sonoma County, California
Savor the California sunshine in this beautiful Chardonnay
ABOUT THIS WINE:
Ferrari-Carano
Chardonnay
With decades of experience, Ferrari-Carano makes some great wines, and this Chardonnay is no exception. 2018 was an excellent year with ideal weather conditions for the vines. Spring produced great set, and average rainfalls led to normal to above-normal yields. Consistently warm temperatures during the summer months without any drastic heat spikes or rain events allowed for longer “hang time” for the grapes, which led to fully ripe flavors. The grapes are destemmed, pressed, then cold settled in stainless steel tanks before moving to barrels for fermentation. Aged in French oak, the wine took on some complexity along with toasty notes that play off of the beautiful fruit.
NOTE: This is NOT a Firstleaf Exclusive Wine.
Due to state registrations, we cannot ship this wine to AL, AZ, CO, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, MD, ME, MI, MO, NJ, NV, NY, OH, PA, SD,ABOUT THIS WINE

Sonoma County
Many of California's world-class wines come from Sonoma County, separated from Napa by the Mayacamas Mountains. Three times the size of Napa, Sonoma is an incredibly diverse region. Cool coastal zones, fog-cloaked hillsides, sheltered valleys and craggy exposed peaks give Sonoma a vast array of terroirs and microclimates. Its many sub-regions produce a broad range of styles: from the bold Cabernets of Alexander Valley to the fragrant Pinots of Sonoma Coast and the sublime Chardonnays of Chalk Hill.
